Slow news day today... Well, we're 9 days from the release of Modern Warfare 2. It seemed like the time would never come. A multitude of online streams of both the single player campaign and multiplayer have been impossible to resist. Right now, it looks not surprisingly like CoD4 amped up. Reibo and I will be going to the MW2 midnight launch event at our local GameStop next week, so we'll try to get some pics of the festivities.
- The Modern Warfare 2 Dedicated Server Petition has reached 173,000 sigs.
- Best Buy is having a live chat with Robert "Fourzerotwo" Bowling and IW CEO Vince Zampella on the Best Buy forums.
- Kotaku has the scoobies on the MW2 tactical nuke revealed here yesterday.
- Kombo video link has all the weapons and perks in MW2. (Update: weapons & perk video has been yanked by Activision.)
- Incredibly, Infinity Ward has apologized for the grenade spam PSA & pulled it. WTF? This they have to apologize for? I would think they have a lot bigger things to atone for...
- Interesting thread over on 2Old2Play's CoD forum has news that private party chat will be prohibited in some MW2 playlists.
- Gamespot has an article about Sony's MAG for the PS3, a 256-player FPS currently in a public beta!
