Lady with a derringer by Frank Frazetta

We went out for a bit last night. Reibo and I went down to Garrison to meet Roseanne and Roberta for some drinks at The Stadium restaurant, where we could watch the Yankees play at Detroit. It's always great to see old friends, and it was a particular pleasure to share some adult beverages with Rose and Berta! We did take an early evening, leaving during the seventh inning stretch, which was just as well since the Yankees eventually lost to the Detroit Tigers. It was a bit painful watching Johnny Damon belt out a home run (which turned out to be the one which ultimately won the game) against the Bronx Bombers.
Today's gungirl is a work of art, in the literal and figurative sense, by renowned fantasy artist Frank Frazetta, who passed away yesterday at 82. No one could match the vitality of his images, but generations of fantasy and SF artists have followed in his footsteps. Rest in peace, Frank Frazetta.
