Just what I wanted!! Now, stand still!
After the power went out on us the second time, Matt64, Reibo and I gave up on gaming and switched to watching movies. It was windy last night, but it wasn't a huge Nor'easter storm or anything like that. In any case, a gentle breeze is enough to knock the power out for a few seconds, just enough to dump all our Xbox 360s. Ironically, the power didn't go off again all evening, but, as I told my bro Matt64, if we had been gaming, there would have been power dips galore. Central Hudson, it appears, was busy last night. In between power dips, I had their outage map up; a few miles away in Hopewell Junction, there were 1000+ homes without power. Clustered around our neighborhood were around 500 more. I tried to find an email or web contact for telling Central Hudson they suck, but they only have links for actual outage reports. I'll mail them a letter this week, I think, asking why the power goes out on my street every time a squirrel farts.
