Tho not strictly a GungirlTM, Jessica Biel, as the highly improbable iPod using vampire hunter in the otherwise kinda crappy Blade: Trinity is really, really easy on the eyes.
Mom's doing a bit better; yesterday (the 1 September for me), Pop told me she was able to stand up from the wheelchair on her own, which is pretty triumphant for someone who couldn't raise her arms above her head a month ago due to the muscle myopathy caused by Crestor. Today, they started training her on getting up out of her hospital bed and using the walker a little. Mom has a prospective release date from physical therapy of 20 September, tho home care and outpatient physical therapy of some kind are likely. We're continuing to hope and pray.
Like smoking a cigar, the key to the blog is time. It takes me about 2 hours, give or take, to collate links. It's far longer, usually spaced out over several days, to embed the vids. I have to make a lot of the preparation ahead of time, when I have the time, or the blog would simply not be done on work days. On work days, I typically go to sleep around 8AM, and I get up around 2-3 PM. I leave for work at 6PM. That leaves a very brief window where I can do any blogging. If I manage to pre-plug in a lot of generic links and gaming-related videos, all I have to do is update the latest stuff I can find and set the blog to auto-post. If something prevents me from doing the prep work, it's a much rougher proposition.
Included today is the new Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer released on 1 September. Examiner.com has a pretty comprehensive look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer... and I'll say one word that makes my Unreal Tournament-loving heart flutter: Bots. Also linked is GamePro's take on Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer, tho reviewing a work-in-progress is always an iffy proposition. Today's featured vid is an older Modern Warfare 2 clip, a Danger Close/C4 fest with Trigr Fingr on the MW2Commentators channel. The second vid is a montage of self-described 'snazzy MW2 rounds' by ThatGuyWhoCamps. YMMV... Moving on...
