Also on the Microsoft front, Major Nelson reports that unauthorized storage units are about to be ban-hammered. A lot of folks commenting on the upcoming bannination said they used 3rd party storage cards, etc. due to Microsoft's outrageous prices on the authorized items. My assumption is that, aside from the Profit Motive, they have to pay for built-in DRM on everything. Click here!

Non-gaming Stuff:

BBC News reports that the Large Hadron Collider has successfully cooled to 1.9 degrees Kelvin (1.9 degrees above absolute zero) all of the components required for high energy particle collision. The story notes that the temperature is actually colder than the coldest regions of deep space, which are 3 degrees Kelvin, known as the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. (It's the heat echo of the Big Bang, cooled down.) Click here!
