A lot of folks commenting on the upcoming bannination said they used 3rd party storage cards, etc. due to Microsoft's outrageous prices on the authorized items. BBC News reports that the Large Hadron Collider has successfully cooled to 1.9 degrees Kelvin (1.9 degrees above absolute zero) all of the components required for high energy particle collision. The story notes that the temperature is actually colder than the coldest regions of deep space, which are 3 degrees Kelvin, known as the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation.
