Better, Santa, but it should be a girl!

   

    Because of the job interview and Xmas get-together with old friends yesterday, there wasn't any gaming. I might be able to squeeze some in today, depending on the level of chauffeuring I have to do. On to the links:

• As reported by stepto and majornelson, the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 patch was scheduled to go live at 2AM, Pacific Time. I'm bracing myself for this one. I hope that it doesn't produce more bugs than it squashes.
• Modern Warfare 2 PC still tops on Steam sales.
• Late to the party news: UK GCHQ advertising on Xbox Live, targeting (no pun intended) shooter players in games such as Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2.
• CoD7 rumor mill on BASHandSlash: The Cold War, Korea, or VietNam. My money is on the Cold War.
  
• Modern Warfare 2 price drop to $50 delivered on Amazon.com.
• YouTube: Machinima MW2 Top 5 Killcams Lucky Shots of the Week.

• UGO: Aliens vs. Predator preview. Meanwhile, Rebellion Studios, who are developing AvP, are trying to live down Rogue Warrior. And, again.
• Lost Planet 2, which was delayed to Spring 2010 to avoid getting clobbered by Modern Warfare 2 has been delayed again, this time to "maximize sales".
• GameSpy staff pick their best games of the year. MTV does likewise.
